Why I shouldn't have the internet at 2AM

So tonight is my first night in my own new apartment alone all by myself.  Chad isn't here because he is in Rochester, where he lives and J.T. went to a movie.  I have used this time to set up my new humidifier.  Which looks like this:

Meet Felipe!
That was productive of me *pats self on the back* so I went into my new bedroom (still filled with unpacked boxes) and set my computer up on the bed all ready to internet and then go to sleep.  Well that was around midnight.  It's 2am now, why I am I still awake?

I'll tell you why.  Apparently I'm afraid of brick walls.  Yep that's right.  Just plain old brick walls.  You see, my bedroom window faces the side of my neighbor's brick house.

My View
I realize this isn't scary or anything and I might be insane.  But I'm not really scared of the bricks or the wall, I just don't like that my bed faces an open window and it's dark and I can't see anything but bricks. I'm afraid there will suddenly be a creepy guy looking in at me while I'm sleeping even though that's totally irrational because I live in a walk up building.

So long story short, I decided to buy a curtain.   I shopped around and found one on Target.com that was $35.  I figure $35 is a reasonable sum to cure an irrational fear and decorate my new apartment in one fell swoop so I added it to my cart.  Then I added a curtain rod to the cart so the total would be over $50 and I could get free shipping.  Next I decided I would like a hold back so that I could pull the curtain back and enjoy my brick wall during the day.  BUT the hold back totally didn't match the finial on the curtain rod so I couldn't let such complete NONSENSE slide, not in my bedroom.  And after a lot of shopping around I determined that target has no matching tie backs and finials that are both available online, I decided to go to an actual Bed Bath and Beyond physical store at a later date.

BUT HO, a new dilemma had presented itself.  If I didn't have the curtain rod in my cart, then my curtain wasn't eligible for free shipping.  So I decided to buy a movie, 50/50, because I was totally going to buy it anyway and then I could get free shipping.  And that, kids, is the story of how Target's free shipping on orders over $50 makes them lots of money.

But before you totally judge me for buying a curtain at 1am on Target.com instead of just going to Target the next day and buying the curtain, I would like to point out that the particular curtain I bought is not available in stores.  SO THERE.

Also it's really cute, DOUBLE SO THERE

Welp then after all that the Target website decided to be an asshole and wouldn't let me pay vial PayPal. So I actually had to get all the way out of bed to get my credit card.  Then Target decided to freak out at least 4 times so I had to keep re-entering the information.  I know, my life is so hard I can't even stand it.

It was during this fateful moment in time that I decided I should really change my bank information to my new address so I can just click the "shipping address is the same as billing address" button instead of having to type in a whole new address.  Because that would have save me like 90 whole seconds of typing.  And I could have done a lot of things in those 90 seconds.  I could have looked at like 9 pictures of cute cupcakes on Pinterest or something.  So thanks bank address, you made me miss out on 9 gloriously cute cupcakes.
