On Wednesday Chad came to meet me for my lunch break, because he is generally pretty awesome. We went to 5411 Empanadas because it's right across the street from work and it's FREAKING DELICIOUS!!! I think Chad must have liked the empanadas a bit much because for tonight's dinner he cooked a 3 course empanada meal. All the empanada wrappers are made with some pre-made pie crust that we had in the fridge.

The First Course |
The first type of empanadas had onions and sharp cheddar cheese. We cut the pie crust into circles using the rim of one of our drinking glasses but the circles were just a teeny bit too small to work out with this folding method. Still very delicious though!

The Second Course |
These empanadas are stuffed with onions, beef and bacon! They were very tasty (Pie crust+bacon=yes)! This folding method worked a lot better because two circles were used and the bottom one was folded over the top to make a little pocket.

The Third Course |
These final empanadas were for dessert! Chad cooked up some bananas and then put that warm banana goo as well as Nutella in the pie crust... mmmm mini pies! This crimping method was not nearly as messy as I thought it was going to be.
So there you have it, homemade food adventures!
