Sometimes You Plan on Doing Laundry All Day

Sunday was my only day off last week because they wanted me at the office on Monday, this is fine with me because it just means I get a three day weekend this weekend.  It did kinda take a bite out of my productivity though.  Chad and I were supposed to do laundry ALL DAY on Sunday because, omg we haven't done any since he moved in (we aren't total slobs, we just keep going out of town for holidays and such).  So we woke up, and put a load of laundry in right away.  Then we looked at the movie times for The Hobbit, because weekly date outing and stuff.  We decided we had to go to the one in the middle of the day so after that first load of laundry was done we went right to the theater.

I don't know if you are aware, but Peter Jackson is not a fellow who makes concise films.  We saw The Hobbit and it was good, but I must admit I'm not omg amazeballs blown away.  I thought the pacing was pretty terrible and I didn't have that I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT MOVIE feeling I had when the original Lord of The Rings movies came out.  Anyway by the time the movie was over it was around 6:30, then we rode the train to the Fullerton stop, so we could get a bunch of groceries at Dominicks.  As we were waiting for the train home, my mom texted me that Downtown Abbey was premiering at 8.  We arrived home at exactly 7:55 and plopped our groceries down to sit and watch English aristocrats and their servants.  We didn't put the groceries away.  At around 8:50 I looked at my phone and was like "Phew, at least this episode is going to end soon."  Then at around 9:15 we decided it was an extra long episode that probably would end at 9:30.  At 9:45 we decided we were wrong and finally at 10pm it ended and we could be productive humans again.  We put the groceries away, and then it was pretty much time for sleep.  Precisely one load of laundry of the around 7 we needed to do got done.  I didn't update the blog. Chad didn't make his business cards.  I didn't draw a comic.  Chad didn't practice and I didn't start planning my resin toy.

The moral of the story is: If you haven't started watching Downton yet you probably shouldn't if you want to continue being a productive member of society.

But... no seriously that show is addicting.  When is the next episode?
