Graduation is Upon Us

Senior Showcase has come and gone.  It involved some unnecessary stresses which were somewhat soothed by the completely absurd vaudeville style Senior Showcase theme song that Chad made up, which I believe had the following lyrics:

Senior Showcase, it's a wonderful time!
Senior Showcase, come on and get in line!
Senior Showcase, we've been waiting for months!
It's the Senior Showcase, Shooooooooow!

There also was a very silly dance involved.  I'm pretty sure he should give up his dreams of becoming a jazz musician and write vaudeville style musicals instead.  It is clearly his calling.

Anyway, here is my display;

That weird pink thing is a Cheshire Cat puppet

Weeeee culmination of college work and stuff!

More news of the good and bad variety.  The bad news is that my ex-boyfriend Ian is in the hospital, in the ICU to be more specific.  The good news is that after 6 months of not speaking, we are corresponding again!

Ian has been having some issues with his heart lately, it seems to insist on filling with fluids.  Which is not a great thing for it to be doing.  He was in the ICU for a week, was sent home and after 3 days of being home had to go back into the ICU because he was having more pains.  The doctors thought it may be sepsis for a while, which is basically just not good, but have recently decided that it is probably Still's Disease.  Which is basically a thing that doesn't really completely go away but can be treated.  So that is better than a lot of really unpleasant alternatives.

So since Ian got over his burning hatred of me and my harpy self, I went to go visit him in the hospital. I came wielding a copy of the movie 50/50 and a battery of fruit tarts.  It was the first time we have really spoken in 6 months and I'm sorry it had to take place in an ICU room but it was overall very pleasant.  For those of you who know Ian and are wondering if he disappeared, I have the following proof that he exists:

Ian would like it to be known that he is not allowed to shower and that his hair does not normally look like that.  He is a pretty sociable dude and has been making friends with all the nurses and residents despite being in a very unpleasant and unfortunate situation.  GO IAN!!!

We have a lot of the same friends so the whole being friends again thing will make both of our lives much more pleasant because we can be at group hang outs AT THE SAME TIME, what a novel concept.  So Ian, get out of the hospital so our friends can be amazed at our amicableness. Also you need to meet Chad and I'm sure you two will get along and then I can be incredibly awkward about it.  It will be great.
